IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Garner-branded hotel in Scotland with the launch of Garner Hotel Edinburgh – Haymarket.
The 195-room property, developed in partnership with Palm Holdings, is located directly opposite Haymarket Station and adds a new midscale option in the city ahead of the summer festival season. It is the first Scottish opening for the brand, which was introduced globally last year to meet growing demand in the conversion market.
Guest features include blackout blinds, high-quality beds, 24-hour snack availability, grab-and-go breakfast options and on-site parking. The hotel has also partnered with neighbouring Belhaven-operated Platform 5 pub and restaurant to offer sit-down breakfast service and guest discounts on food and drink.
The Haymarket site is one of 23 Garner hotels now open worldwide, with a further 90-plus properties in the pipeline. Palm Holdings director Ricky Kapoor said the opening reflects the group’s commitment to creating modern hotels that are “simple, comfortable and connected to the communities they serve”.
As part of a limited-time launch initiative, the hotel will also donate £1 per stay to the charity Action Against Hunger.
