IHG Hotels & Resorts announces first Garner Hotel in Scotland

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), has announced that it will open its first hotel Garner Hotel in Scotland. The 195-room Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh is expected to open in the second half of 2025.

Launched in 2023 as IHG’s newest midscale conversion brand, Garner Hotels, builds on the company’s position in the essentials segment across the UK and Ireland. Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh will join a growing global portfolio of 23 open hotels and 94 in development.

Dedicated to social responsibility, it also says it will continue its efforts to support those in need and it has partnered with the City of Edinburgh Council and Bethany Trust to provide temporary accommodation. Once converted into Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, the property will donate £1 per guest stay for a limited time to Action Against Hunger, aligning with IHG’s multi-year partnership to combat food insecurity and hunger worldwide.

Part of Palm Holdings, the company say that “Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh will align with the brand’s ethos of offering reliable, quality stays with essential comforts.”
