Caledonian Edinburgh to open new food and drink venue

The Caledonian Edinburgh is set to open its new food and drink venue, The Court, later this month. It follows the hotels £35 million renovation by Henderson Park and the move to join the Curio Collection by Hilton.

The Court, located within the hotel, blends historic charm with mid-century design and features a grand cocktail bar, dining terrace, patisserie, lounge, and a stage for live music as the hotel sets its sights on becoming a social hub for both locals and hotel guests.

The all-day menu, created in partnership with chef Mark Greenaway, will focus on seasonal Scottish ingredients. Dishes include a Scottish Lobster Roll and a 16-layer Carrot Cake, along with pastries such as a Pistachio Croissant. Afternoon teas will also be available, starting with the ‘Timeless Classics’ selection.

The Court’s cocktail bar, inspired by the historic 123 steam train once associated with The Caledonian railway, will serve a range of signature drinks. The bar will work with local suppliers and offer sustainable, climate-friendly spirits.

Live music will be a key feature, with performances set to entertain diners in the 100-seat space.

Nitin Ramtri, General Manager at The Caledonian Edinburgh, said, “We’re thrilled to unveil The Court and look forward to welcoming guests to this exciting new food and drink destination, which stands as a testament to the city’s rich history.

“At The Court, we’re not only providing physical spaces but an environment that reimagines networking, entertaining, dining events in an iconic building and location that only Edinburgh could offer.”

The redevelopment has involved several partners, including Klarent Hospitality, Henderson Park, Hilton, and Edgewater, with branding and design by The Gorgeous Group and Cunningham Mclean.
