Trump Turnberry celebrates charity donations

Trump Turnberry presented Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Ayrshire’s Whiteleys Retreat £101,586 last week as a result of the team’s recent fundraising efforts.

The resort’s charity body, the Turnberry Titans, founded in 2015, have raised more than £690,000 to date for Trump Turnberry’s three partner charity organisations and 2024 will see a full calendar of fundraising events, which kicked off with the resort team’s ‘Dragon’s Den’ internal fundraising event earlier this month, followed by a Charity Golf Day.

Trump Turnberry also has two teams entering The Kiltwalk on the 28th April.  One will take the 22.6 mile ‘Mighty Stride’ from Glasgow Green to Balloch while the second team completes the event’s ‘Big Stroll’, walking 14.2 miles from Clydebank to Balloch. Meanwhile, in June, General Manager, Ralph Porciani will be cycling from London to Amsterdam to raise money for the resort’s partner charities.

Later in the year the resorts charity events continue including its Ladies Lunch, the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Annual Ball and the resort’s St Andrew’s Day Dinner and Ceilidh.

Ralph Porciani, General Manager at Trump Turnberry said, “I am incredibly proud of the Trump Turnberry team and their commitment to making a significant impact in communities within Scotland, which shines through in the record-breaking amounts we’ve raised for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Ayrshire’s Whiteleys Retreat.

“This is testament to our team’s boundless energy and passion for making a difference to children and families dealing with unimaginable challenges and having a positive impact in their lives and in the fundraising efforts of the charities which support them.”

William McGowan, Head of Partnerships and Business Development Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said, “We are hugely grateful for the support from the Trump Turnberry team; their continued generosity plays a pivotal role in our operations, and it is always such a pleasure to partner with them.”

“The funds we receive are instrumental in making a significant difference in the lives of the children and families we support.  I wish the Turnberry Titans huge success in their mammoth fundraising efforts for 2024.”
