Scottish hotel group, Sonas Collection, founded in Skye by Anne Gracie-Gunn and her late husband Ken, has relaunched Knipoch House Hotel just outside Oban which dates from 1600s. The hotel marks the 4th hotel in the Sonas portfolio and is also its largest. The other hotels include Toravaig, Skeabost, as well as Duisdale House on Skye.
The group invested £1m in the 26-bedroom hotel with extensive renovations to the bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, bar, and lounge. Knipoch House has also introduced ‘high-end, modern Scottish dining’ in its restaurants, headed by chef Andrew Engledow, who joins from the Sonas’s Duisdale House Hotel. An outdoor terrace barbecue and dining area is currently being built and will debut during the summer.
