Seamill Hydro reveals plans for new health club as part of ongoing redevelopment

RAD Hotel Group has released the first images of the new Hydro Health Club at Seamill Hydro, which will form the centrepiece of a phased leisure upgrade due for completion in 2026.

The development includes a new gym fitted with Technogym’s Sand Stone Collection – the first of its kind in Scotland – as well as a 226 sq ft functional training space, dedicated fitness studios, and a recovery room to be delivered in the final phase. Members and guests will also have access to personalised digital training via the Technogym App.

Designed in consultation with existing members, the facilities aim to provide a “modern, connected training experience” while remaining fully open to the local community as well as hotel guests.

Aaron Kyle, Sales and Marketing Director at RAD Hotel Group, said, “Our aim is to create a world-class facility that elevates health and wellbeing for our guests and local members here at Seamill Hydro. A club where you can come together, stay active, improve your long-term fitness goals and socialise in beautiful natural surroundings.”

The investment is part of a wider programme of refurbishment across the site. Work is also underway to upgrade the swimming pool and poolside areas, with improved tiling, lighting and leisure facilities. These enhancements follow the extension of the resort’s bar, lounge and restaurant, which is set to open in spring next year.

Ben Sandham, UK Country Manager at Technogym, added, “Seamill Hydro’s vision aligns with Technogym’s commitment to creating spaces where wellness, technology and design come together. We’re proud to support this next chapter as the resort establishes itself as one of Scotland’s premier wellness destinations.”
