Murrayshall Country Estate launches new onsite pursuits ahead of £30m investment

Murrayshall Country Estate in Scone has launched a plethora of new onsite pursuits, a new wellness weekend as well as spa treatments in their newly refurbished Gate House marking the start of a new chapter for the hotel as they work towards building their £30million masterplan to diversify the estate.  Plans have already been submitted to Perth and Kinross Council and it is expected to generate substantial investment to the local economy, along with supporting hundreds of jobs in the area.

The new range of activities means that the hotel has bought 10 bikes including a range of mountain and e-bikes so that guests can hire them by the hour, half day or day as well as creating maps showing walking and cycling routes.  It has also added 2 exercise bikes and a new treadmill so that gym enthusiasts can exercise within their guest rooms and there are several garden games on the lawns including spike ball, bean bag games, and a giant Jenga. The hotel has even teamed up with Willowgate Activity Centre where guests can enjoy axe throwing and laser clay shooting at the back of the 400-year-old manor house.

Launched this week (13 July), guests will be offered a selection of spa treatments using luxury Scottish organic seaweed products from Ishga, and a  Fitness and Wellbeing Weekend has also been organised on 9th and 10th September in collaboration with Club 300 Perth.

Leisure Manager Colin Fraser has a background in gymnasiums and personal training and has previously worked in Qatar launching gyms and health clubs.  Speaking about the new offering he said, “We’re always looking for new ideas that will attract and inspire our guests.  With our stunning location in the heart of Perthshire, we have the space and views to match.  It’s great to offer guests a variety of different options from pursuits to wellbeing, that they can enjoy whilst they are staying with us.”
