Knipoch House Hotel in North-West Scotland and part of the Sonas Collection, has announced a new partnership with the Glencruitten Golf Club which targets the international golf market. The hotel, which relaunched in March 2024, has undergone extensive refurbishment with the 26-bedroom country house hotel now positioning itself as a destination for golfers seeking an alternative to Scotland’s more famous east coast courses.
Glencruitten Golf Club, designed by well-known course architect James Braid, is the home course of Ryder Cup winner Robert MacIntyre, who recently celebrated his first PGA Tour title at the Canadian Open and a victory at the Genesis Scottish Open, and this success has increased the interest in golfing in Oban.
Andreas Maszczyk, Group General Manager of Sonas Collection, said, “We’re thrilled to work alongside Glencruitten Golf Club to offer golf to our guests. Our unique setting on the West coast gives us the privilege of providing access to some of the most scenic courses in Scotland.
“We are also proud to announce our sponsorship of hole 12, a sprawling 433-yard run that makes up the most challenging hole of the course as we encourage our guests to embrace the excitement of an incredible day of golf.”
Kenny Devine, Club Captain, said, “This partnership is an exciting opportunity for Glencruitten Golf Club. By leveraging Scotland’s rich golfing heritage and world-class hospitality, this collaboration enhances the overall experience for golfers and will contribute to the local community and economy.”
