IHG Hotels & Resorts has appointed Brodie Green as Director of Operations at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa in Glasgow, following her successful tenure in Food & Beverage leadership at voco Grand Central Glasgow.
Green, who has worked in hospitality since the age of 18, began her career as Assistant F&B Manager at 29 Royal Exchange Square in 2017 first joining voco Grand Central in 2019. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Green took a position at Auchrannie Hotel in Arran in 2021 before returning to voco Grand Central as C&B Manager. She later secured the F&B Lead position in 2022.
Her performance has earned her several accolades, including ‘Manager of the Year’ (2022) and the ‘F&B Operational Excellence Award’ (2023). Green was also recently featured as a panellist at IHG’s inaugural Women in Leadership Conference in 2024.
“I’m honoured to step into this role at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa and to continue my career path with IHG,” said Green. “My journey with the team here has been incredible, and I’m looking forward to working at Glasgow city centre’s only five-star hotel to continue delivering excellence in guest experience and operations.”
Green’s promotion strengthens female leadership at IHG Glasgow, where women already make up more than 50 per cent of the management team. It also, say the company, highlights the IHG’s commitment to internal talent development.
