Gleddoch to reopen refurbished Imperia Spa

Gleddoch Golf and Spa Resort has reopened its renovated Imperia Spa as part of a multi-million pound refurbishment. The spa, which originally opened in 2017,  sits within the 350-acre estate near Glasgow formerly owned by shipbuilding magnate Baron Lithgow.

The spa has been redesigned by 3Design Scotland and now includes seven treatment rooms, the installation of a 45 square metre outdoor sauna, and the spa conservatory now houses the new Himalayan salt sauna and a separate bar area and a new wellbeing studio and spa restaurant have been added.

James Anderson, General Manager at Gleddoch, said, “The opening of the Imperia Spa marks the culmination of a vision to create a destination that defines its own standard of luxury. Every moment and detail has been considered to transport guests to another world.”

Gleddoch Golf and Spa Resort has 76 bedrooms, an 18-hole championship golf course and a 16-bay driving range. The site became a hotel in 1974 and has hosted guests including the late Queen Elizabeth II and Real Madrid football team.

The hotel was acquired by the Johal family in 2015 and relaunched under its current name in 2017. It is part of Best Western’s luxury collection, WorldHotels.
