EcoPure Waters and InterContinental Edinburgh achieve sustainable milestone

EcoPure Waters, a leading provider of environmentally sustainable water provision solutions, has revealed that its partnership with InterContinental Edinburgh the George hotel has prevented 50,000 single-use plastic and glass bottles from ending up in nature or going into energy-intensive recycling processes over the last year. This accomplishment, they say, underscores Scotland’s growing commitment to sustainability and positions it as a trailblazer in environmental stewardship.

“Scotland has shown that it takes environmental issues seriously”, said Paul Proctor, Managing Director of EcoPure Waters. “As a testament to this, EcoPure Waters now has partnerships with over 30 businesses across the nation, including independent hotels, hotel groups, and corporate businesses. Our mission is to make a positive, tangible impact on the environment and the businesses we partner with. We’re thrilled to have achieved this milestone with InterContinental Edinburgh the George”.

“The partnership between EcoPure Waters and InterContinental Edinburgh the George features a double EcoPure Top Control water filtration system, with time-saving measured autofill and touch-screen technology. In addition, custom-branded reusable glass litre and 750ml swing-stop bottles have been provided to supply bedroom water and communal areas throughout the hotel.

“The announcement comes at an opportune time as we celebrate Plastic-Free July, a global movement which encourages us to become part of the solution to single-use plastic pollution. Over the last decade, EcoPure Waters has saved a monumental 20,000,000 single-use bottles from landfill and oceans, demonstrating the effectiveness of its initiative.”
