AC Hotels Glasgow appoints new General Manager

AC Hotels by Marriott has named Michael Falla as General Manager of its Glasgow property.

Falla brings experience across branded and independent hotels, city-centre and resort environments, having progressed from food and beverage into operational and senior leadership roles. Most recently he has focused on transition and growth projects, leading the refurbishment and rebrand of Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood and supporting the repositioning of The Edinburgh Grand into The Luxury Collection.

“Glasgow has humour, creativity, confidence and warmth — it’s a place where hospitality feels completely natural,” Falla said. “AC Hotels’ focus on considered design, quality and simplicity provides a strong foundation, and I’m excited to build on the hotel’s existing strengths while shaping its next chapter.”

In his new role at AC Hotels by Marriott Glasgow, Falla will oversee the continued development of Hazel, the hotel’s signature restaurant, and The Collector’s Hall, which has established itself as a venue for weddings and events. His focus over the next 12 to 24 months will be on embedding the hotel more firmly in the Glasgow market while delivering commercial growth.

He added, “My aim is to create an environment where people feel supported, clear on expectations and empowered to grow.”
