Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh has been named Group Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Excellence Awards after a year of improvements in guest satisfaction, team culture and overall performance.
Judges highlighted the strength of the hotel’s team culture and the clear progress made across the business, noting that the time was right to recognise the improvements achieved.
Martijn Zengerink, General Manager, said, “This award is a real reflection of our team and the effort that’s gone in across the hotel over the past year.
“We’ve focused on strengthening how we work together and creating an environment where our people feel supported and empowered to deliver for our guests. That’s where the biggest difference has been made.
“To see that translate into stronger guest satisfaction and to be recognised in this way makes it especially meaningful for everyone involved.”
The team also saw individual success recognised at the awards. Tomas Kunovsky, Head Pastry Chef, was shortlisted for Patisserie Chef of the Year and was highly commended.
The spa has also been named Best Spa in Spa Scotland for the past two years and holds 5 Bubble Luxury Status, making it one of only two spas in Scotland with the distinction.
