Hyatt Hotels Corporations has announced its plans to open a Hyatt Centric hotel in Edinburgh’s Haymarket – the first in Scotland, joining 16 other Hyatt branded hotels across the UK and the second of the Hyatt Centric brand.
The 349-bedroomed hotel will be operated by Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) under a franchise agreement and will be part of the Haymarket Edinburgh development. It is expected to open mid-2025.
The hotel will also offer a gym, meeting rooms, and six rotating street food brands as part of its new creative dining concept.
The hotel will also incorporate a hospitality training academy that will be operated by EICC in partnership with Edinburgh College.
It is being designed by Foster + Partners, which is known for its holistic approach to sustainability and responsible design. Interiors are being designed by international architecture and design firm Ica, headquartered in Glasgow.
Felicity Black-Roberts, Hyatt’s Vice President of Development for Europe and North Africa said, “We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Hyatt Centric Haymarket Edinburgh, which will mark the Hyatt Centric brand’s entry into one of the world’s most celebrated capital cities.
