TWO Glasgow hotels are amongst the “Best Places to Work in Hospitality” as Dalata Hotel Group has been included within the top six of the 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2023.
Operating Clayton Hotel Glasgow and Maldron Hotel Glasgow, the group will go forward as finalists for the top ranking at The Cateys in July.
The news comes as the company announced a very strong first half trading performance across its existing hotels and the continued impact of new hotels with expected EBITDA to be over €100 million for the six months ending 30 June 2023.
Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata said the growth was a result of the dedication of its 5,500 employees, commenting: “Our people remain our greatest strength.”
The company was commended for its responsiveness to their people’s needs in facing current living conditions and rising costs, including bringing forward a pay increase, a relaunched employee benefits package, tailoring it to the mental fitness of its people as well as providing staff with a one-off retail voucher to help with the cost of living.
Dalata Hotel Group’s Chief People Officer, Dawn Wynne, commented, “With a portfolio of 50 hotels and growing, Dalata is certainly in expansion mode and this brings huge opportunities for our people, with the chance to transfer to various locations and also avail of discounted stays across every hotel.
