Auchrannie ‘Book with Confidence’ to combat ferry worries

Auchrannie Resort in Arran has launched a ‘Book with Confidence’ policy to combat the uncertainty guests might have around problems caused by ferry cancellations and disruption.

‘Book with Confidence’ means that, in the event of ferry disruptions, reservations can be cancelled without any financial penalty, deposits for unused stays will be refunded within seven days, if departure is delayed guests will receive a free late check-out and, if they cannot leave the island, Auchrannie will provide an extra night’s stay at no charge. In addition, for those guests who are unable to bring their cars because of ferry issues, they will be provided with a free shuttle service between Brodick ferry terminal and the resort.

Gordon Hay, Auchrannie’s business development manager, said, “Recognising the worries our potential visitors have about ferries, we’ve shifted from merely acknowledging these problems to actively enhancing our guests’ experience.

“Our ’Book with Confidence’ policy is about turning challenges into opportunities for reassurance and support. We want our guests to feel secure when booking a stay at Auchrannie, confident in the knowledge that we will look after them, no matter the circumstances.”

Linda Johnston, co-founder and executive chairperson, added, “Each year, more than 750,000 journeys are made to and from Arran by ferry, with the vast majority encountering no issues. However, occasional weather and technical problems can disrupt travel plans.

“Understanding the potential worry this causes, Auchrannie Resort has taken these proactive and robust measures to ensure any undue stress and concern for their guests is minimised.”

The ‘Book with Confidence’ policy will be highlighted across all booking platforms and guests will be informed of it when booking. The details can be found here.
