Laggan adds The Murray Arms to its portfolio

Laggan, the family run business in South West Scotland, has added The Murray Arms hotel in Gatehouse of Fleet to its portfolio of accommodation.   Re-opening on Thursday 16th March 2023, the boutique hotel will act as an extension of Laggan, offering a bed and breakfast service to guests.

Located just an 8-minute drive from Laggan, the hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment which will see the 14 rooms be transformed into 14 styled spaces; three twin rooms, one single room, three family rooms and seven king size rooms. The hotel will also provide staff accommodation.

Keeping to the town’s history and culture, the hotel will feature the Robert Burns reading room; a nod to the poet who famously drafted ‘Scots Wha Hae’ at the hotel.

Duncan McConchie, owner of Laggan, said: “Providing our guests with the best experience is of utmost importance to us, so four months ago, when the opportunity to expand our offering with The Murray Arms came about, it was a project not to be missed.  Whether it’s attending a wedding or having a holiday in the area that includes a meal at Gather, we want visitors to have the full Laggan experience. Additionally, Gatehouse of Fleet is a beautiful town in Dumfries and Galloway and we need to showcase what our region has to offer.”

Located off-site, The Murray Arms will sit under the Laggan brand.
