Hotel du Vin St Andrews has completed the next phase of its rolling refurbishment programme and increased its team size by 20%, up from 40 to 50, as the hotel positions itself for the return of The Open in 2027.
The hotel, on The Scores overlooking the Old Course, has invested a further £300,000 in upgrading its public areas, building on a £1.1 million renovation earlier this year which updgrades to the bistro, bar, and all 42 bedrooms .
“The completion of this further phase of investment is important in correctly positioning us, not only within the local market but also on the international stage as we gear up to welcome The Open,” said Andrei Secuianu, General Manager of Hotel du Vin St Andrews. “In order to deliver the best service, we need the best people, and we have been working hard to build a team that can carry forward our ambitions for the future with energy and enthusiasm.”
This latest round of upgrades is part of a multi-year plan to ensure the hotel continues to meet the expectations of returning Open visitors, leisure guests, and a growing base of local diners.
