Malin Court, the hotel and nursing home which sits adjacent to Turnberry Golf course on the south Ayrshire coast, has a new giant 120 sq. metre conservatory.
Officially opened by Mr John Dalrymple Hamilton (pictured with his wife), Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran who has long family connections with Malin Court, the new structure is to be called The Boyd Lounge, after Boyd Tunnock CBE, the current Chairman of Malin Court and a great supporter over many years.
Joan Dunlop, Malin Court’s General Manager, said “It is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea. We also think the new conservatory creates a magnificent space for weddings, anniversary parties and all kinds of functions”
Kevin Eadie of CR Smith said, “The conservatory at Malin Court is the largest structure we have built to date. Its high energy efficient windows and solar central glass roof were designed and built specifically to accommodate Malin Court’s wonderful location on the edge of the Firth of Clyde. Its aluminium frame is specially-designed to support the expansive glass structure in all weathers.”
