Apex Dundee wins Visit Scotland Award

Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa in Dundee has picked up the Best Hotel Experience award at Visit Scotland’s Central and East Awards.

The hotel won the award for its dedication to the guest journey, including a series of campaigns which captured the imagination of visitors. One of those has been the introduction of a Beano family experience where the hotel created a special Denis Menace themed room as part of the ‘Blamazing Break’, a limited-edition two-night accommodation package.

The hotel has been investing heavily in its facilities, to the tune of £4.5 million over the last 7 years, including £500,000 on its spa and gym, £300,000 on conference spaces and £2.5m invested on its 151 bedrooms.

£1.2m has been spent on upgrading its Quayside Bar & Grill bar and restaurant which was voted ‘The Most Instagrammable in Scotland’ after a study by Dojo in 2022.

More recently, the hotel was awarded the Green Tourism Gold Award for its work in creating a sustainable, low carbon experience for its guests.

Apex City Quay will be up against Kildrummy Inn and Glenapp Castle at the national finals which take place at the Hilton in Glasgow on the 24th November.

Paul Mooney, General Manager said, “It is a real honour to pick up a Visit Scotland Award and to win Best Hotel Experience is incredible for us. We work tirelessly on the quality of our guest journey so to be recognised for this is wonderful. I’d like to thank Visit Scotland for the award and all our dedicated staff and partners who made it happen.”
